Show Information:
Oversaw assistant TD and lead carpenter in the budgeting, build, load in, and strike of production.
Managed $3900 budget and handled purchasing and ordering of materials.
The Process:
This show presented a unique challenge in the form of the tree. Working with a three dimensional organic shape was a foreign world to me and piecing this puzzle together in a way that could support actors climbing on the unit was difficult to wrap my brain around. With an organic shape like that, planning can only get you so far and a lot of the success of this unit came from experimenting in the moment and trial + error to see what worked and what didn't.
